The design and construction sector has witnessed a tremendous movement towards green building practises as we continue to prioritize sustainable development in our effort to slow down environmental damage. Today, we can discover beautiful constructions all over the world that are not only eye-catching but also eco-friendly and energy-efficient. Explore some of these classic green structures with me as we take a virtual tour of the world.

1. The Edge, Amsterdam, Netherlands
With its LEED Platinum accreditation, The Edge, dubbed “the greenest building in the world,” demonstrates an unmatched dedication to sustainability. The structure makes use of a large number of solar panels and has an energy-efficient LED lighting system that is driven by Ethernet. The building’s usage of a networked, intelligent technology system that continuously modifies energy utilization is what genuinely distinguishes it

2. The Bullitt Center, Seattle, USA
The Bullitt Centre, which has been dubbed the greenest commercial structure in the world, goes above and beyond energy efficiency. It is a self-sufficient structure that uses no energy or water. One Angel Square is powered by a biodiesel cogeneration facility that uses rapeseed oil and has an “Outstanding” BREEAM grade. The entire structure is intended to maximize natural light and air circulation, and it makes use of a system that gathers and reuses heat and precipitation.
